I know ingredients very well, and to me quality ingredients and simple preparation is the formula for great food. Local 130 has been selling me beautiful fish for over six years. The Cod that I bought there earlier today was so exceptional I had to look them up and re-write my previous 5 star review from six years ago to mention it. I really can't even imagine a nicer piece of fish, and it came out perfect! I thought I'd eat it over two night, but I finished all of it in one sitting. Eating slowly and thoroughly enjoying it. I marinated it in white miso, mirin, maple syrup, fresh ground ginger and fresh ground garlic. Who needs restaurants anymore? Carey the chef / manager is a super nice woman with a strong food background who really knows her store and products, she makes great salmon burgers and other delicious specialty items in store like tuna salad. We are blessed to have this establishment in the area, and it has been a huge benefit for me in my quest to eat healthier, to eat less red meat and more fish, and to bring my BMI and weight under control as I enter my later years.

I wish that I lived closer!!! I was semi in the area and was looking for a seafood place to get crab meat to make crab cakes. I ended up getting something else. I guess that it was done with local crabs. I will definitely be back!!!

5/5/25 RE: LocalSeafood130.Com Seafood Delivery Service Of Asbury Park NJ ----- First time purchase of 5 lbs of sashimi-grade salmon came very chilled on ice today. ----- I had a question and so I emailed the company for a call back and spoke to the CEO/Founder who was upbeat, kind, professional and approachable. ----- I gave a few small suggestions as a brand new customer, which he welcomed, and I will definitely buy from this place again! ----- The fish quality is SUPERIOR! ----- I learned the fish is flown over fresh from Norway and fed organic, quality food, which is served in local restaurants that only desire fresh fish. ----- As a sashimi lover, the presentation of the fish is clean, fresh with no smell, great color from the natural food-recipe it's fed, is plump/springy, buttery, are very good cuts! (They offer a skinless option as well!)
